The German 1898/1905 “Butcher Blade” bayonet was the most common bayonet used by the German Heer during WWI, it was called the “Butcher Blade” by the Allies because of its shape. Designed to fit the 1898 German Mauser Carbines and Rifles. This 98/05 bayonet was manufactured by Simson & Co., Suhl, Germany.

United States – M1 Garand Rifle Bayonet (American Fork & Hoe Company) 1942 – World War II.
Reissue version – M1 Bayonet (Oneida Limited company) 1943 – World War II.

In a discussion, Peter Monahan shares that there were US troops in India/Pakistan during WWII having first arrived in Karachi in 1942 and quite a number being stationed in Calcutta as part of the support for the India-China air route and the operations in Burma. This is probably how these American bayonets came into India as one was sourced from the North and the second from the North-East of India!
